The Maker’s Child has partnered with the National Center for Pediatric Palliative Care Homes and Children’s Respite Homes of America to begin thoughtful conversations with Alabama lawmakers — creating a pathway that will allow overnight respite care in a home-like setting for children with complex medical conditions.

The home will provide skilled nursing care for medically fragile children, so families have a trusted respite provider and receive a much-needed time of rest.
